Pat, Pam and I feel so saddened by Charles' accident and death. We pray for God's Graces to help you through this trial. Charles was and still is a Good, Good man, gentle in every way, but strong in ways that made him such a great and generous person. May he rest in the Peace of the Lord.

This was definitely a shock to me.

My feelings go out to his family and close friends.
Charlie and I grew up together in Mission Valley, we both graduated from Victoria High School. Charlie continued on to higher education while I enlisted in the United States Air Force for a career of 20-1/2 years, we lost contact with each other for years and I finally talked with him several years ago.

Rest in Peace old friend, you will be missed.

My sincere condolences to the family; I was greatly saddened to hear of the loss of a great teacher and leader. Dr. Heller was my chemistry professor at Blinn(72-74) and one who inspired me to continue in the science field as my life's work. Much of what he taught me was so useful in the work I did in the laboratory. May God's peace and comfort be with the family as you grieve his passing.

I am at a loss for words to convey the shock and loss of our dear friend Charlie. He was truly a man of God and Science. Who but Charlie would drag that huge pot to the church back door and prepare his famous “ Road Kill Stew” for the entire congregation??? We will miss you terribly. Charlie—may you rest in peace and may God say, “ well done my good and faithful servant” Pat you are in our prayers.

Dear Pat and family,
I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Heller a couple of times. He was so brilliant. My daughter, Lacy was lucky enough to have him as a professor. She says he made class interesting.
Please accept our sincere sympathy. He will be missed by many.
Condolences,

Our deepest condolences to Patricia and family. Doc was one of the best and most impressive individuals We have ever met. His love of education and people was awesome. When you met him you were instantly impressed by his down to earth genuine care. Charlie went out of his way to help others. He didn't want praise for the deeds he had done in his life. He told me one time that he just wanted anyone that he had help big or small to pass it own. I believe many a person has been to his back porch. All were welcome to celebrate life with him. I know there are many of us who will miss him dearly. The Lord needed an angel by his side. Rest In Peace dear friend until we meet again.

Patricia & family to you we extend our prayers that God may give you His strength and loving kindness to see you through this sad event. Charlie was truly a great man. I learned to know him through the Brenham Evening Lions Club where he was a true leader and a dedicated Lion. He truly lived our motto of "WE SERVE". To say that he will be missed is an understatement. He knew so many people and did so much for so many. He loved his Lord and his church. I guess that God needed a good Lion too. His family was always his top priority. Charlie rest in peace!
