Obituary

Donald "Jim" Lee Boyce, Jr., age 73 of Brenham was called home to be with The Lord on October 10, 2024.

Donald was born on October 22, 1950 to Donald and Mary (Mercer) Boyce Sr. in Keyser, West Virginia. He was the oldest of eight children. Donald served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington. He served in Vietnam from December 1, 1970 until October 31, 1971. After service, Donald began working at the U.S. Steel Mill, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He retired from Fosbel as a bricklayer out of Local 9 and proceeded to relocate to Brenham, Texas.

Donnie loved going to church and spending time with Jesus. He loved being outdoors whether it had been hunting, fishing or gardening. He and his brother Craig had taken the proper courses to become licensed scuba divers. He was so adventurous and loved a good time. His smile was truly infectious. Above all the outside noise in the world, he always preached God and family came first.

Donald is preceded in death by both parents Mary Martha (Mercer) Boyce and Donald Lee Boyce, Sr., sisters Donna Lea Boyce, Cindy Lu Boyce; brothers Craig Steven Boyce, Blaine (Tee Wee) Thomas Hott, Milo and Chooch; along with numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Amanda Boyce and Nicole Boyce; sons Corey Boyce and Aaron Boyce; sisters Diana Missy Boyce and Valerie Darlene Boyce Stevenson; brothers Rocky Allen Boyce and Keith Michael Boyce and his dear aunt Delana Ours.
