Dear Lord, how I LOVED this lady! Darlene was beyond unforgettable! I know without a doubt she is singing George Strait songs with the Angels! Darlene took me under her wing as the new paralegal at the FDIC back when I was in my mid 20's. I will be 60 next year! In all those years, I still have not met anyone who has read the Bible more times than Darlene! I have also never come across a better human, or a more generous, loving, non-judgmental soul in that time period! What a special lady! Kasey & Gretchen, am so sorry for your loss! My goodness, the love she had for you all was immeasurable! That is what we are left with when we lose our irreplaceable moms...that love we have for them never goes away. It never leaves our hearts. In Loving Memory of my Mother-In-Law Darlene:

Darlene was a beacon of light in many people's lives, and a Godly woman whose faith and love for others shone brightly. We shared quite a few deep, one-on-one conversations where she imparted wisdom and guidance that I will cherish forever. Her sense of humor was unmatched; she had a unique gift for making everyone around her laugh and feel joy. Her laughter and spirit will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. She touched our hearts in ways words cannot fully capture, and her legacy of love, faith, and laughter will live on in all of us.
I am also grateful for Darlene for being the wonderful mom that my husband, Gene needed. She stepped into his life many years ago and filled that void of maternal love and guidance. Her unwavering support and love helped shape him throughout the years into the wonderful man that he is today.
Darlene will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart.

Love Always,
