Obituary

Cynthia Ann (Cindy) Schneider was born November 14, 1953, and she passed away on March 26, 2007, at the age of 53. Cindy was the eldest child of Clyde and Martha Schneider of Industry; she was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, during the time her dad was stationed there with the USAF. Cindy lived with her family until she was 17-years-old. She attended schools for special children during those years in Lubbock, she enjoyed her school and her teachers, and she learned to read and write. When her family moved to Houston in 1974, Cindy became a resident of Brenham State School, where she was living at the time of her death. Her mother and dad moved to Industry when they retired in 1994 in order to live near Cindy. She was a special part of the family throughout her life, a life which touched her family’s lives in a special way. The whole family feels blessed to have had her in their midst.

Cindy is survived by her parents; three sisters, Carol Seagroves and her husband Roy of The Woodlands, Susan Ippoliti and her husband Victor of St. Meinrad, Indiana, Mary Lynn Molenda and her husband Larry of San Marcos; one brother, Allan Schneider and his wife Risa of San Marcos; twenty-four nieces and nephews; and many aunts and uncles and good friends. She is also survived by her caregivers and friends at the Brenham State School, who loved her and cared for her for more than thirty years.

Visitation is at Brenham Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 29, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. On Friday, March 30, at 11:00 a.m. there will be graveside services at the Methodist Cemetery in Industry with Rev. Dennis Keen and Rev. Steve Ponder officiating. Later that day, there’s to be a memorial service of praise for Cindy’s life at the Brenham State School Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Jim Ferguson, chaplain at BSS, Rev. Ponder, Rev. Ralph Blevins, and Mr. Ellis Hudgins will officiate at that service.

Cindy’s family suggests that, in lieu of flowers or other tributes, a contribution in Cindy’s memory to the Volunteer Services Council for Brenham State School, 4001 Hwy 36 South, Brenham, TX 77833, would be appropriate.

Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer St., Brenham, 77833. 979-836-3611 www.brenham-memorial-chapel
