Funeral services with mass will be held Saturday, July 8th at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham. Cathleen was born on April 16, 1947 in Brenham to Esther and Herbert Muchow. She attended Grace Lutheran and Brenham ISD schools and was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran. On April 24, 1965 Cathleen was married to Michael Przyborski at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and celebrated 52 years before his passing in 2018. She was a dedicated employee of St. Jude Hospital which later became Trinity Medical Center for over 40 years and cherished working with the sisters and all of her friends at the hospital. She would often share great memories of the wonderful people and events she experienced there. Outside of the hospital, Cathleen was dedicated to her family and spent countless hours caring for others. She enjoyed supporting local organizations such as Adam’s Angels, making Thanksgiving meals for shut-ins, and donating baked goods and auction items for St. Mary’s Polish Festival and the Latium Fire Department. In retirement, Cathleen loved spending time outdoors caring for her yard and plants and proudly supported her grandchildren at almost all of their many events and milestones in both the Brenham and Katy areas. She also loved traveling, especially to Germany, Disney with her family several times, and to many states in the United States. One of her favorite places in Texas to spend time in was Fredericksburg.
Cathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Esther Muchow, in-laws Michael and Mary Przyborski, and husband Michael. She is survived by her son Michael Przyborski, Jr. and wife Amy; daughter Michelle Gaskamp and husband Matt; grandchildren Marissa Przyborski and Jon Colburn, and Austin and Camden Gaskamp; brother Kenny Muchow and wife Ann, sister Caroline Weed and husband Darrell; brother-in-law Wilfred Przyborski and wife Genevieve; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Austin Gaskamp, Camden Gaskamp, Jon Colburn, John Weed, Darrell “Butch” Weed, Carl Przyborski, and Brad Muchow. Honorary pallbearers include Becky Kubicek, Judy Jeske, Deborah Makowsky, Jane Wellman, Tara Wellman, Virginia Counts, Carol Cangelosi, Rebecca Schroeder, and all nieces and nephews.
