Obituary
Carol Ann Sonnier, 58, of Brenham passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at her residence.
Carol was born November 4, 1948 in Brenham to Stanley and Bonnie Schulze Sonnier. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and later became a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She retired after 30 years with Brenham State School as an x-ray technician and presently worked for Home Depot as a cashier. Carol loved animals, planting flowers and working with antiques alongside her mother at Country Co-op. Carol was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and displayed an entire room in her home of his memorabilia. She served on the board of Donald Austin Animal Shelter.
Her father and numerous aunts and uncles preceded her in death.
Survivors include mother Bonnie Sonnier of Brenham; aunts Mary Ann Broos of Florida, Gennie Schulze of Brenham; godson Matthew Polk and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2007 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 5, 2007 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Alberto Borruel as celebrant. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Danny Joswiak, Ray Stolz, Jim Carmichael, Matthew Polk, Randy Sonnenburg and Edwin Breddin. Honorary pallbearers are Milton Budell and all nephews.
Memorials suggested to Donald Austin Animal Shelter or St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
