Betty Jean Williams

Betty Jean Williams, 71 of Brenham, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan.

She was born October 5, 1938 to Raymond and Lydia (Eickmeyer) Klingenberg in Irvington, Illinois. Betty graduated from Barnes Hospital School of Nursing, St. Louis, Missouri in 1959. She worked as a registered nurse at various hospitals, before being employed at Brenham State School, from where she retired in 2000 after 25 years of service. Betty married to Robert James Williams October 11, 1984. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, traveling, taking pictures, beading and other crafting.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents.

Her loving family includes: husband Robert Williams of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Lovell of Brenham and children Britney, Merrick, and Jessica; Billy and Jackie Lovell of Humble and children Jonathan and wife Ashley, Nathan, and Ashley; Jimmy and Sayuri Lovell stationed in Japan and children Lydia and Shawn; Jerry Lovell and children Jerry Paul and wife Tamera, and Kristie. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.

Visitation with the Williams family will be Tuesday, July 20th from 6-8 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 21st at 9 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Button officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Lovell, Nathan Lovell, Jerry Paul Lovell, Merrick Lovell, Mike Wolbin and Blair Lundborg.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Christ Lutheran Church.
