Benjamin Royden Simmons

Benjamin Royden Simmons, 22, of Brenham passed away August 18, 2024.

Benjamin was born on February 27, 2002 in Chandler, Arizona to Derik and Nichole (Groe) Simmons.

Benjamin graduated from Brenham High School in 2020. He was employed as a Technician with Airline Safety Equipment. Benjamin had long list of hobbies and talents mostly self-taught; including parkour, skateboarding, guitar, harmonica, ukulele, drawing, and building anything he put his mind to. He loved to read and learn and always had "fun facts of the day" for friends and family that will be missed, almost as much as his sharp, quick humor combined with the patience of a teacher.

Benjamin is preceded in death by grandfathers Royden Groe and Bernard Simmons; uncles Jason Donoho and Shawn Whitfield; and aunt Shelley (Groe) Anderson.

Left to cherish his memory are parents; siblings Drew Groe Simmons, Emma Simmons, Connor Simmons; grandparents Cecil and Cynthia (Whitfield) Crook and Neil and Zona (Lee) Jeffers; along with many more family, friends, and coworkers.

A memorial service for Benjamin will be held at a later date at Brenham Memorial Chapel.
